Accessibility
Exhibity should work for the people who make exhibitions happen.
Volunteer teams include people with different experience, devices and access needs. Accessibility is part of the service, not an optional extra.
Exhibity is built to aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA, but has not yet had a formal independent accessibility audit, so this page does not claim full conformance.
Our aim
Exhibity aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA and to provide clear, forgiving pages that are comfortable for artists and volunteers who may use the service only occasionally.
That includes meaningful headings and labels, keyboard access, visible focus, readable contrast, useful error messages, zoom and responsive layouts. The operational desks should use familiar exhibition language and avoid unnecessary technical instructions.
Assistance and alternatives
An online route should not exclude an artist who prefers not to complete it alone. An authorised volunteer may help with an entry or availability response, provided the organisation handles the artist's information appropriately.
Practice is free and needs no account or sign-in, so a volunteer can rehearse Receiving, the Sales Desk, Collection or the volunteer rota without pressure before the exhibition opens.
Tell us about a difficulty
If part of the website or app is difficult to use, please describe the page, what you were trying to do, the device or assistive technology involved, and the format or adjustment that would help. We will review the difficulty with a person and look for a practical alternative while it is corrected.
Use the protected contact form. Please do not include passwords or recovery codes.
Who is responsible
Exhibity.co.uk is operated by Colin Wood, trading as Exhibity.co.uk, of Unit 161724, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL. Accessibility difficulties are reviewed personally rather than through a formal independent audit at this stage; a known limitation of that approach is that it has not been checked against WCAG by an independent third party. This statement will be revisited as Exhibity grows.
